“I know that an object will stay in the house for a lifetime and therefore must be loved”

Massimiliano Schiavon is one of the Venetian excellences in the field of artistic Murano glass.
It shares the same authentic values as Foss Marai.
Let’s have a toast with him to celebrate the union of art and wine. 🎥

There are times when life offers unexpected crossroads and often the most decisive turning points are also the most painful. Not everyone has the courage to choose them.

Massimiliano Schiavon in 2011 instead took the path not recommended by everyone: abandoning his father’s business and opening his own furnace. It found a splendid location on the island of Murano and started from scratch, despite a family history that is lost over time: “I come from six generations of glass professionals, including chemists, masters and traders. I was born when my parents were already entering the business and leaving the production of their grandparents. I did all the glass works, because I’m not a master, I’m a fan. The winning combination is between me, Giorgio – who joined the team in 2011 – and the one who really handles the glass, Claudio. We grew up together, we know how to blend and manage our characters and there is a lot of mutual respect. We compensate. We talk to each other without speaking. ”🔥
